A poor dear child,
from a remote little hamlet,
was traveling down the river,
alone on a boat.
suddenly the weather changed,
and a wind began to blow,
which soon changed to strong gale,
and the sky started to glow.
with not a soul near,
and not a way clear,
he paddled the boat,
to the nearest shelter.
He sat beneath a tree,
and prayed to almighty,
the rain soon slowed down,
the cloud soon cleared off,
and the sun came out,
wearing a golden crown.
He again started on his journey,
paddling merrily and happily,
whistling a song to himself,
down the river to his destination.
