What impresses most about " Housefull 2" is its stylishly cool cinematography by Manoj Soni.The first close-up shot of Randhir Kapoor is reminiscent of Otto Preminger's Advise & Consent

.Both Randhir and Rishi Kapoor have tremendous screen-presence here and act like Pillars to the whole movie,their dialogues are side-splitting funny full of pepper and vinegar,and sometimes both of them seem like twin detective brothers Thomson out of Tintin.John Abraham is quite different here with a childish streak and bursts into tears when Jacqueline Fernandezan environmentalist scolds him for wearing Leather things as she plays an animal activist here with a Pet Python.Akshaya Kumar,Shreyas and Riteish too are good.Chunky Pandey is his usual self "I'm joking",climbing out of one Bathroom in Rishi's house climbing onto the roof and getting into Randhir's house to meet him and again excusing himself and going back again.Zarine and Mithun too do good.Mithun plays JD a former dreaded dacoit turned into a UK Billionaire.Ranjeet is in a guest appearance as Akshaya Kumar's father.
Music by Sajid-Wajid is good.'Papa toh band bajaye' is hilarious and quite like a theme song.Malaika Arora has an item song here "Anarkali Disco Chali" .Sajid Khan directs deftly here managing the complex plot of the movie.Leading ladies here just do an OK job here and are least impressive lacking in an personal charm,charisma or beauty.And Asin here keeps a pet crocodile.
Randhir plays Rishi's elder illegitimate brother.Jacqueline and Asin play their daughters.Both want to marry their daughter to richest man in UK.Rishi insults Shreyas's father who gets a heart-attack.Shreyas to take revenge asks Riteish's help who is son of JD one of Foirbes Billionaire played by Mithun.Riteish refuses as he is terribly scared of his father and both decide to hire their old kleptomaniac classmate John to masquerade as Jolly JD's son.John goes to the wrong house that of Randhir.Shreyas then hires another of his former classmate Akshaya a close friend turned foe of John to play Jolly.What ensues is a funny comedy of errors of mistaken identities.It was the morning show so not really Housefull,everybody liked the movie and kept laughing through out.People of all ages seemed to enjoy this movie.
Its a great movie to go for in the weekend really fresh and cool.
We had some strange movie ads before the movie,that of Jannat 2 where Emraan Hashmi plays Sonu KKC,now KKC is a well known college here in Lucknow.Also was Akshaya Kumar Rowdy Rathore,with him aping Salman's Dabang.At least "Teri Meri Kahaani" ad was some respite directed by Kunal Kohli *ing Shahid and Priyanka.
