about a change in the corrupt political system.Today when Delhi Assembly

by defeating Chief Minister Sheila Dkishit by 22,000 votes and Aam Aadmi
Party won 28 Assembly seats out of 70 seats becoming the second largest
party by completely routing Congress Party which just got 8
seats.Though the party could not get the majority to form government,
but shocked all after becoming the first political party to begin
political journey with such victory.Delhi has never seen an election
like the 2013 one in which some of the most famous faces of Delhi have
been humbled by unknown candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party
(AAP).
In his victory speech, Kejriwal on Sunday, Dec 8, said, "These elections have been fought over honesty and corruption for the first time ever." "It is proved that for the first time the aam aadmi (Common Man)can also contest elections. It is the victory of the aam aadmi. Common man has defeated high profile politicians in Delhi. The common man is sending a clear message to the politicians," he said. Kejriwal said that AAP is willing to play the role of constructive opposition. He also congratulated BJP CM candidate Harshvardhan for leading the polls.
AAP win is the second major instance of a party winning on its first attempt after the NTR in Andhra Pradesh.
