Evergreen Love Theme From A Star Is Born

Evergreen Love Theme From A Star Is Born Lyrics

Artist: Barbra Streisand
Love, soft as an easy chair
Love, fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you

Like a rose under the April snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love, ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two

You and I will
make each night the first
Everyday a beginning

Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us
'Cause we have the brightest love

Two lights that shine as one Morning glory and midnight sun
Time, we've learned to sail above
Time, won't change the meaning of one love
Ageless and ever evergreen

Louise Fletcher

She was born on 22 July 1934.Both of her parents were deaf.,so she learned sign language at a young age.Won best actress Oscar for 'one flew over the cuckoo's nest'.

The film got its name from a familiar tongue twisting Mother's Goose Children's folk song,

Vintery,mintery,cutery,corn,
Apple seed and Apple thorn,
Wire,briar,limber,lock,
Three Geese in a flock,
One flew east,
And one flew west,
And one flew over the Cuckoo's nest.

East and west are diametrically opposed,Nurse and conman (Nicholson's character) are combatants, opposite factor in the story.Cuckoo's nest denotes the hospital filled with "Cuckoo" patients, who are swayed and influenced by both of them. The one that flew over the Cuckoo's nest is the Giant,'deaf mute',chief, who in the end escapes from the mental hospital.

few passages from my favourite book "Mill On The Floss" by George Eliot

It was visited at different moments by two men who both felt that their keenest joy and keenest sorrow were forever buried here,In their death they were not divided.

The days when they had clasped their little hands in love ,and roamed the daisied fields together.
At last a mist gathered over the blue-gray eyes, and the lips found a word they could utter:the old childish - "Magsie!"

These bitter sorrows of childhood!when sorrow is all new and strange, when hope has not yet got wings to fly beyond the days and weeks, and the space from summer to summer seems measureless.

few Quotes and Inspirations

Ralph Waldo Emerson

"To laugh often and much,to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal false friends;to appreciate beauty,to find the best in others;to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded".

"Life is no more than a funeral procession,

winding towards the grave,

It's small joys,

the flowers of funeral wreaths."

Sarah Doudney

"The pure,the bright,the beautiful,

That stirred our hearts in youth,

The impulse to a wordless prayer,

The dreams of love and truth;

The longings after something lost,

The spirit's yearning cry,

The striving after better hopes,

these things can never die."

Ludwig Wittgenstein

"As in death, too, the world does not change, but ceases,Death is not an event of life,Death is not lived through."

Father's Last Days - 8 th August 1998

Papa had gone to Office on 3 rd and 4 th August. He had gone to Office with his Peon Ramesh on his Bajaj M80 Bike with Ramesh driving. And they were drenched in a sudden downpour.Next day he didn't go and caught cold.He was ill for the last two months.

P.S.Our father died two days later on 10 th.He was sick for last eight years since he took promotion and went to Raebareilly. His Liver was damaged, was acutely anemic,Had Jaundice every six months. Then he started having blood  in stool, would swoon after coming out of toilet.Refused to go to a Doctor and self medicated himself.Whole house was always worried about his health.Last two or three years of his I was so apprehensive and on the edge thinking I would find him dead on returning from School. It depressed me a great deal. Our mother was on the edge too hovering around him taking care of all his needs.Rushing to the doctor to get medicine for him.

On 10 th he grew very sick started breathing heavily.I with Pankaj's father went to call the Doctor.Doctor said he was in really serious condition and asked us to take him to the hospital.I with Rajpal Singh took him on a Rickshaw to "Avadh Hospital" ,the doctors there refused to admit him citing reasons him being in too serious condition. Then I ,mom, Rajpal uncle and Vinay Mausa took him to KGMC on a Taxi.He died 10 minutes after reaching their the doctor present their tried giving him artificial respiration but it was futile.

13/08/2001 Cat's terrible acts

In Monu's room cat killed a mouse. There was terrible stench, but we could not find the corpse. Now after one month Monu set out to rearrange his books. As he removed a cluster of books from the lowest shelf, there was a rat's tail sticking to the wall and a black substance probably rat skin sticking around it.It looked horrible and emitted terrible stench.Monu was shocked and came to tell me.I was sleeping,it was 11:15,he woke me up.It gave me a vomiting feeling.Monu then opened a book which was quite new and proceeded to smell the book as new books have a very nice smell. But as he took a sniff his nose received a terrible smell. The pages obviously were smeared with the rats blood etc. .

On my brother Monu early 1998

Monu is so Queer,
He has no fear,
his only work is to,
belch out the day,
And burp out the night.

He has his ethics,
He has his rules,
But he swears so much,
But doesn't even blush.

He is so tall,
He is but flat,
three dimensional he is ,
But two dimensional he seems.

His ways are violent,
But he is so dull,
He laughs sporadically,
like a coughing volcano.

He is but fair,
But his heart is so dusty,
He baths daily in Summer,
But scarcely in Winter,
Taking great advantage,
of his fair skin.
And he doesn't even wash his chin.

In Spring he sings like a Raven,
To frighten the Sparrows,
And scare the Bulbuls.

But still he is loved,
And still he is admired,
He may have his faults,
But he is not evil at all.

Mom loves him,
Father chides him,
But I always wonder,
What he is up to next.

On a Friend 26 Jan 1998

Life was hopeless,
you brought me hope,
My eyes were wet,
you mopped my tears.
you were like,
A breeze of fragrance,
who swept away staleness from life.
The Sun of hope now again shines,
The life is once more pleasant.
You are my best friend,
And forever will be.

Poem I wrote on my Dear Class Mate Nitin Jain

Dearest Nitin,
Are you still called TinTin,
Do you still remember ,
your Old School Pals.
Or are you too busy
in your own affairs.

Whenever I remember,
The old school days,
Your smiling face
comes floating before my eyes.

You were so helpful,
You were so witty,
Every joke and every mimic of yours,
kept us in splits.

Now we are far away,
Life has threw our way many challanges,
Which we have to face without fear.

So here is wishing you
best of luck for your present and future,
I know in my heart
the way we were taught
will enable us to overcome any hurdle.

Original poem on "Flowers"

From my Diary

When the nature laughed,
The flowers grew,
white red purple and blue.

The roses were red,
to increase the love,
the jasmines were white,
to spread the peace.
Their fragrance was strong,
To strengthen the bonds.

with their fragrance,
the world now smiles
with their beauty,
the world now shines.

Flowers teach us to smile,
And to spread happiness,
In god's shrine,.
They are the precious gifts of god,
Which on man he hath endowed.

My Friend K.Arvind Singh & CMS Memories

Diary Contd. ........ (1994)

In class 11 th my best friend was Kunwar Arvind Singh. He had just came from his boarding school in Kodaikanal Tamil Nadu and had its imbibed mannerism and accent though he hailed from Shahjahanpur.Inspite of being bad in studies he was lively and amusing. He wore spectacle with suspenders. On my first day at CMS I was escorted to my classroom by Arvind. He along with Nitin helped me to settle down in College.

One day we were gossiping as always when we asked Arvind about his father's business. He said that his father owned a cassette shop in Thakurganj. He then also told us that his father is a Truck-Driver and a jeweler shop owner too.I was astonished that how can a person do three kind of jobs at same time.Arvind then said that his father is a petty smuggler.

Here I would want to mention that his father's name was K Jitendra Singh. His father owned a driving licence from India to Nepal and did smuggling on Nepal border.Drivers were allowed to bring limited amount of things with them and his father used to hide Gold among those things while returning from Nepal. He mentioned also that his father was caught two or three times.Nitin Jaiswal my other friend felt quite amused by this tale and thought he was making it all up.

Arvind Singh then said that smuggling is not the horriblest crime anyways we should hate sin not the sinner.Once my mom & pop visited his uncle's Jewellery shop, his uncle gifted a nice Jute bag to him and was really friendly.

Abhishek and Yash Vardhan

contd.... from my Diary.

After Jai had left school my brother made another friend or we can say friends.Abhishek Vardhan and Yash Vardhan were brothers and have taken admission in the school in 5 th class.Abhishek Vardhan was younger and fairer while Yash was elder and less fair then his younger brother.Abhishek Vardhan and my brother remained friends till tenth class after that my brother went to study in C.M.S. while Abhishek went to Christ Church.

Yash Vardhan was weak in studies especially in English. The result was that he got failed in fifth class and came with me.But after that he never got failed in any class.

Abhishek and my brother studied together for six years. In that period they became good friends and came to know each other very well. They were both good in studies and competed with each other.Abhishek was good in English,Hindi,History and Economics. While my brother was good in Biology,Math,Physics,Geography and Chemistry.Abhishek got 78 % and my brother got 85 % in I.C.S.E. exam.

Abhishek was smart, good looking and handsome. He was generally good humored but could be mean at times. He was tall and fair with charming personality. His parents called him 'Munna' .Young boys in his locality called him Munna Bhaiya.A disreputed and comic sardar living in the same locality of Krishna Nagar, with the name of Prabhjyot Singh began to call him 'Gaindu' (Rhinoceros) as he was of forceful personality and had become quite authoritative with advancing years.Thereafter this nick name sticked to him.

Abhishek's father was an Engineer. He used to collect lots of stuff buying generally the caught smuggled goods which were auctioned by government. There were many old and new rare things in his house. There was a projector, few pictures, large statues, old coins and some rare electronic things.Abhishek was good in games and studies both.

Dada's best friend Jaidev Dutta

Dada had a dear friend in 3 rd class. His name was Jaidev Dutta. He was dusky, short statured with slightly narrow eyes. His hair was combed in a spiry fashion. They remained friends for 3 years. After that he left school. He had got two homes, one in Nadarganj and the other in Krishna Nagar. He and my brother were good in their studies. They also competed with each other. In his family their was his younger sister and his parents.I and my younger brother soon came to know him well for he was really friendly in nature.Once monu did broke his spectacles though.

Once during the last exam of our final Dada had gone to Jai's house without telling at home.He had a good time their Jai's mother was really nice to him and then they played cricket. When he returned he was of course scolded but any way it was worth it.Jaidev soon left St. Thomas to study somewhere else.A group photograph of Ravi's class is also kept in the house which still reminds us of Jaidev.

Passages from my teen years diary on Dada (CMS Quanta Festival)

At beginning he studied in Lalita Montessori School. He was a good student there and secured good marks.Teachers used to admire him.He studied their till 1 st class. After that he studied in R.K. Montessori School. After studying till 3 rd class there he went to St. Thomas School and he remained their till he had given I.C.S.E. Examination. He secured a very high percentage of 85 %.Thereafter he went to CMS Branch of R.D.S.O. . And is meanwhile studying their in twelfth standard. My brother is a year bigger than me.

He went at Quanta 94,which was being organized in Lucknow by his school. It was a big science festival, well organized and well maintained as my brother told me.Their occurred a incident that was quite humorous.A class-mate of my brother ate much food during lunch organized by the authorities. He himself was eating steadily and hastily ,but he was telling his friends to eat less or they will upset their stomach and will have loose motions. He bid them to eat less food but he himself continued to eat food.In fact he was swallowing food like a crocodile hungry for many days. His friends watched  him and felt very discomforted. After eating lunch their were sent piles of seasonally fruits. This time also he advised them not to eat too much of them.At this his classmates glared at him harshly and told him to hold his tongue. After they came out from the lunch room they found that their friend has filled his pockets with some fruits and was eating them.It seemed he was still Hungry. My brother thought that he will surely be absent for some days from school as he thought that after eating so much one's stomach cannot stay stable.

But he came to school next day. When my brother asked his secret then he said that he did not eat practically anything just two days before the party. That was why he was able to eat so much.

A Walk in the Clouds connection

I saw A walk in the Clouds (1995) ten year back found it pretty boring and totally uninteresting with strange wayward script with half-baked characters. But the cinematography and locales were beautiful, also how wine is made and the customs related to it.

There's a scene in the beginning on the Bus how the heroine vomits on Keanu Reeves when they meet for the first time. Now it so happened when I was in 8 Th or so in St. Thomas School in 1992-93 and returning home by School Bus a boy named Parevez Khan from my younger brother's class came near me in the crowded bus looking pretty sick.I asked him will he sit down. And just a moment after he vomited on me.I was drenched in his vomit.Could not find water to clean away the vomit had to wait till I reached home.It was quite a harrowing experience.

Few years before that in 1987-88 once I and Roli my cousin sister and my Badi Mami were going by Bus to Jagdishpur. She send me before her on bus when the door was crowded to save a seat for them. And I did saved a seat but when she came she pointed to me that somebody had vomited on the floor. And we three had to go all the way sitting there with vomit on our feet.

How Green Was My Valley

Its one of my favorite films really sentimental realistic and heart-touching.The starting lines of the movie by Roddy Mcdowell's character evoke forgotten memories and nostalgic sentiments every time I see it.The whole movie is from the view point of the youngest son played by Roddy.Sara Allgood is the mother here and when her husband gets hurt by people who pelt stone at her house she goes out with her son and addresses the workers their showing them how mean and cruel they have been. When returning she and Roddy get hurt and are bed-ridden for days. This scene is really remarkable where a wife goes out in public defending her husband.

Donald Crisp renowned and much loved actor from movies like National Velvet,Jezebel (where he picks up Henry Fonda when he faints) and Lassie Come Home plays the father here. His view point on not striking as it would hurt people stand out.His relationship with Roddy is depicted really well.It won the Best Picture Oscar and is one of the best of John Ford. Can't stop tears every time I watch it.

Pages from My Dairy 1992

My father gave me a diary and asked me to write what ever I feel like.See it from perspective of a fourteen year old boy.

"My big brother is eventually what you can call a big brute. He has been always a nuisance to me.Occasionally he sometimes becomes a nice fellow but at other times he is mischievous and very much insulting. He is tall, dusky and broad shouldered.

Mother tells me that when I was a small child,I was much pestered by my brother. She will thrust a milk bottle in my mouth and will go to do her house chores.Immediately and stealthily my elder brother will come and snatch the milk bottle from my mouth and will drink his fill. When I did not get milk I used to cry and then my mother would come and think what was the matter. And then she will see my brother holding the milk bottle in his hands. She will be astounded for a minute or two and then will snatch milk bottle from his hand. Then he would get a scolding and my mother will get more milk for me and I will stop crying. My brother also at many times sat on my stomach ,until my mother would come and give him a beating.

One thing that was surprising enough was that he never cried. He had got a very good brain and used to secure good marks in Math and Physics. But his general interest was in Physics. My father loved him and preferred him to the three of us.He was thin and never got fat in his life.Dada cared about my younger brother Monu.He was quite devastating and powerful when he used to get angry. He loved to have a fight with other children especially with me.That was why I used to dislike him as I was a very peace loving child.

PROBLEM CHILD

On 12 th August my cousin sister visited us with her cousin Pankaj,My Badi Mami's sister's son.Pankaj takes good care of Mami's village home and had lived with his Mausi from childhood. When I went to village he was very nice to me and looked after my needs. My cousin sister Neelu came with her mischievous son Aman.He throws things around and tries his best to be a complete nuisance.I don't know from where he got an audio cassette and took out its reel and pulled it so it cut off from both ends.I was so dismayed when he came to show me his doings.Neelu did not think much of it and did not even admonished him.Should not Parents take some responsibility when their kids behave so?

Reminds me of Bikki Lala who made his dog shit on our door and laughed when told so and refusing to clean away the shit.Think these things are done just to ruin festival atmosphere, just keep things out of reach of devious kids.

Excessive rainfall from yesterday morning

On Rakshabandhan on 13 th it was generally bright and sunny.Next morning I woke up at 5:30 with the pitter-patter of rain.It continued raining, when I went upstairs I was welcomed by a heavy drizzle and cold wind.It continued raining throughout the day turning into heavy downpour now and then.It really scared me when the roads turned into rivers with knee-deep water.A big pond adjacent to our house overflowing. The books kept in polythene upstairs were drenched, removed them from their place and kept them on the wooden bed (Takhat).Water seemed to be seeping through the wall,It had last happened three years back.

The park in front has turned into a big Lake.Neighbours are quite dismayed by water logging and apprehensive about the continuing rainfall.Just few hours back the rain has halted for a bit.Crickets are singing, frogs have been very few this year,Jugnus (Glow-worms) have finally shown up,Other seasonal life-forms too seems to be singing.

Cousin Anjali came to our house on 13 th evening to tie Rakhi. She was quite excited about the heavy downpour and the big Lake in front. Her brother Sooraj spent the day playing video games and brought milk too for us going in the knee deep river road.Abha Mausi cleaned utensils as our maid did not showed up and later she mother and Anjali cooked meal for us.Today somehow the cook and maid managed to come for it was still inclement weather in the morning.I gave a belated birthday present to Sooraj a Micromax Q1+ Phone. He was quite happy about it.They went in noon and it started raining immediately after, hope they managed safely to home.

seeing Harry Potter in 3D

Went to Wave Multiplex today.decided to see Harry Potter again this time in 3D.I had mixed experience with 3d.Pirates of Carribean being the worst and most boring experience.Pirhana,Transformer and Green Hornet being the better ones.

The movie projection was extremely dim you could not see anything clearly. And well nothing came out of the screen as it is expected to happen in 3D.The viewers being dim-witted or stupid weaklings nincompoop not raising any objections with multiplex staff and not registering their complaints.I had seen it in 2D and it was a wonderful experience knowing pretty well of 3D stupidity in multiplexes.Rather sit at home and watch movie at least you can change them or change picture settings.Multiplexes tickets are so costly and sound quality so average many times now they make their video quality worse.
