Vishwaroopam (2013)

Its a fast paced action thriller, very violent not for children and full with blood and gore, mutilated bodies blowing up on screen and throats being slit. Its not anti-Muslim as being said or as the controversy is.Taliban are very religious and follow their religion strictly. So its stupid to object if they are shown saying some prayers or reciting from their holy book.

Depiction of Taliban and its training camps is very realistic and first of its kind in Indian Cinema. Its as realistic as "The Hurt Locker" was about Iraq.Kamal Hassan who is nearing sixty looks aged, why cast himself as hero is another question. But he does his action scenes deftly.Heroines in this movie are not much impressive.Though Shekhar Kapoor impresses. Its funny to see Rahul Bose playing a crooked Taliban leader.

Its a great action movie to enjoy this weekend. And the show I saw was Packed full house.I just wished this movie could have been in 3-D,its such a kind of movie that is wonderful to watch in 3-D.A movie whose video games may soon be available in the market.

Editing of this movie is really tricky with lots of storytelling in flashbacks.Kamal Hassan plays a R.A.W. agent who goes into Taliban hideout in disguise as their trainer.Later sending their geographic location to U.S. troops who attack to kill.Destroying completely their camps and killing all innocent civilians present including women and children.Later on he is in disguise in U.S. where Taliban are planning to attack New York with so called "Dirty Bomb".Their too he completely thwarts their plans.

Their's a cute guy here who may attract your attention by his simple lovable character "Mammo" who likes to take photographs and love to swing (on a "Jhoola").Though he essays the role of a terrorist who later on is converted into a suicide bomber.

  1. Though Rahul Bose is a fine actor, but he is utterly unconvincing as a talibani leader in Vishwaroopam and is unintentionally funny. His performance is universally panned by critics.
