Can "Mobile Panic Button" be the answer to deal with India's growing cases of Rape and sexual violence

Recently saw this story on CNN how Brazil is dealing with Domestic Abuse by giving the victim Mobile Panic Button.As soon as the Husband despite restraining order from court comes near her or threatens her she can press the button which will alert the nearest Police Station and Mobile Police Unit and they will within minutes be there to apprehend him.When activated the device emits a GPS signal and automatically starts recording the conversations around the victim -- which can later be used in court.

Imagine if such a device becomes a reality in India,what a great help it will be to counter possible cases of sexual assault,rape or molestation.We can just hope our policy makers and our Policing system imbibe such innovative use of technology to improve themselves and safeguard citizens of our country.
