Ishaqzaade (2012) Review

Its a jazzed up portrayal of honour killing based on Romeo Juliet type movies like "Qayamat se qayamat tak" sprinkled with local flavour of eastern U.P. .Its comparable with those madcap screwball comedies in the way characters behave in utterly outrageous and completely self-centered way, becoming violent or killing or going on a mad shooting spree to quench their own ego.Its an interesting engrossing movie but second half seemed quite repetitive with one chase sequence following another.

Parineeta Chopra has done a good job here in her debut movie.Arjun Kapoor son of Boney Kapoor is good too,he is quite wild and unscrupulous in first half, his mother's chiding sobers him up and becomes sweet and innocent apologizing for his  horrible deeds.Supporting cast is pretty good and so are the authentic locales.
