Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013) a fast paced mad-cap entertainer

Poonam Dhillon played mother to Chirag Paswan in his debut film and here too she plays glamorous mother of new comer Girish Kumar who looks and acts so much like Saif Ali Khan and his affinity for kisses may draw similarity with Emraan Hashmi.He is quite funny and crazy here and fast like his director Prabhu Deva and that does not let the movie slip into sadness and despondency.First half is visually stunning,funny and romantic and second half makes you wish you have more hankies for its an emotional tear-jerk.

Randhir Kapoor and Vinod Khanna ably support the film and share one great scene together,can't remember if they did a film together before.Shruti Hassan is quite good here and in emotional scenes reminds us of Sarika her mother.This movie reminds me so much of "Jab Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya" and Sonu Sood plays a role similar to Arbaaz Khan.Jacqueline Fernandez does a item song here "Jadoo Ki Jhappi"  with director Prabhu Deva,its a fun song with great dancing.Whole film has been shot on beautiful green hills,and in city in a beautiful glass green-house with the loveliest of flowers.Audience enjoyed the movie and so did these three girls sitting next to me laughing and giggling throughout the movie.

Another unique thing about this movie is its depiction of agriculture and farming.How to farm or how to take care of Cattle.Its shown in a fun way like "A spoonful of Sugar helps the medicine go down" as Girish accepts a challenge of  farming for a year.Sleeping on the Hay in the Barn,cleaning Dung,milking Buffaloes or farming in the ancient way.
