i saw it on TCM and was awestruck by it.films script was excellent and everybody gave great performance.it is quite relevant today .i remember during Gujarat riots certain vested interest instigated people to violence.they spread such hatred about other religious community .mob burned down houses with people in it and killed many more.Here cunning scheming persons infuriate a mob to lynch a particular person.
when related to that this film has great effect on human psyche. the use of motion picture video in court to corroborate evidence too is great according to the time when movie was made.Spencer Tracey is good.the supporting cast excel.this film inspires us not to loose our head to mad violence.
