recently saw the little princess.it stars shirley temple the child star from 1930's hollywood.now she does not look innocent and has a forceful character,even to vampish extent.but the story is good and so is her acting.

her father leaves her in boarding,before going to war in south africa.when news of his death comes the school mistress makes her do house work,like helping in kitchen or putting coals in fireplaces.she does not believe her father's death.and frequently searches city hospital for him.her father is not dead and is brought to the hospital and his memory is not clear.in the climax the queen visits hospital and the little girl is allowed to look around and finally she manages to find him.the climax is really nice,also their is a benovolent indian servant who helps her in distress who has a pet parrot.
