Malika-e-Tarannum Noor Jehan and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee (1993)

 

Noor Jehan sang Tere dar par sanam song in Neend.In phir tere kahani yaad aayi this song was used but with different tune,lyrics by Qateel Shifai remain the same.She was renowned as one of the greatest and most influential singers of her time in Indian subcontinent and her career spanned seven decades.After the creation of Pakistan in 1947 she left Mumbai and settled in Karachi with her family.

Anu Malik did a great job in creating a beautiful tune for this version sung by Kumar Sanu and Sadhna Sargam. The prelude of this track is lifted from the theme music of the 1971 film 'Summer of 42' but the tune is original and is a gem.The music and melody is excellent, and the song is full of soul.
